New to iHomeServer?

Steps
  1. Install iTunes from Apple's web site on your Server using a Remote Desktop Connection
  2. Install Quick Time from Apple's web site on your Server using a Remote Desktop Connection
  3. Download the iHomeServer.Pro.v3.WHS.msi file to the computer you normally use to manage WHS
  4. Open your WHS server's Shared Folders
  5. Copy the installation file you downloaded in step (3) to your WHS server's Shared Folders path
  6. Open your Windows Home Server Console and click the "Settings" button
  7. Within the 'Add-ins' section, click the 'Available' tab
  8. iHomeServer.Pro.v3.WHS.msi should appear in the list of available add-ins
  9. Click 'Install'; Windows Home Server will install the add-in
  10. When complete, the Console will close automatically
  11. Re-open the Windows Home Server Console and click the new 'iHomeServer' icon
  12. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete configuration of iHomeServer

Upgrading from v2?

Steps
  1. Make a backup of your iHomeServer database file (iHomeServer.sdf) located at C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\iHomeServer (for iTunes)
  2. Uninstall the previous version of iHomeServer:
    • Open your Windows Home Server Console and click the "Settings" button
    • Within the 'Add-ins' section, click the 'Installed' tab
    • iHomeServer should appear in the list of installed add-ins
    • Click 'Uninstall'; Windows Home Server will uninstall the add-in
  3. Follow the steps on the left hand side of this page to install iHomeServer v3
Notes
  • You MUST uninstall iHomeServer v2 before installing iHomeServer v3
  • Your iHomeServer v2 license key is not valid with v3 - please purchase an upgrade
